When Pantone announced “Ultra Violet” as color of the year for 2018, some designers were confused and others embraced it. TJ Max offerred some beautiful options right away. ( I live in a small town and I’m limited.) Try throw pillows, flowers, table runners. I recommend that you give yourself a chance to live with the colors. I love them and think they blend well with whites and neutrals. Purple can be soft or bold. Subtle or obnoxious.

And your right. Getting the correct shade for you is going to be trickier than people think. Even if you like it on a screen... you need to try it out in your own space.
