Idea for adding privacy to my porch

I'm looking for a low cost, attractive idea for adding privacy to my covered concrete front porch. I'd like to be able to sit out there and relax, and enjoy the day without being in open view. It's about 15ft x 8ft, and my home is wood frame on pier and beams. Any input would be appreciated.

Could you use lattice or blinds that raise and lower, even tension rods and curtains?

Blinds...That is a great idea! I should have thought of that. Thank you!😁

  • Tinyshoes beat me too it! I was fling to suggest a lattice with maybe jasmine growing on it. My front porch is similar but smaller. I planted 3 rosebushes - works great in summer as most people walking by never even notice. In winter a different story.

I also like the roll down shades and tension rod with curtain ideas too.

    • Oh the lizards are nothing to be afraid of! I have 2 where they have lost their almost all and part of their tail. Last year one of the dogs brought me a teeny tiny newly hatched lizard - so I called a friend to help me out till I could let him back out in the yard and survive. They are great for the garden. No matter what you decide, I am sure it will be fabulous! 😎

A frame made up with plastic lattice will give you the privacy you require.

We had lattice work on our porch. Had to rebuild porch so lattice went byby! We didn't need this for either privacy or shade, but just because it is so neat looking. On our front porch we did need light control. But planting a rhododendron took care of that. Took a while though. See it on right bottom picture.
