Thrips - why do I suddenly have them?

I've noticed them (not alot) on my floor. In Dec I had new light colored LVP flooring put in, but baseboards r not down yet. Base floor is concrete & I'm a ground floor condo. I have houseplants, but the same I've always had. Anyone have idea where they r they coming from? Thanks!

They are probably from the plants. Try neem oil spray to get rid of them.
Thrips (Thysanoptera) are very small, cigar-shaped insects widespread throughout the world belonging to the order Thysanoptera. The fringed wings found on adult stages in this order, wings are narrow, small, and surrounded by tiny hairs.
