It is a small house, it has to be painted all the same color.....everything!

Take off the shutters, paint the window casing, windows, door, porch railing. Plant some shrubs, bushes, put the mailbox back to plain and simple.

First I would ask your neighbors how they feel about it. I do not like any shade of orange so if I had to look at it every day I think I would be annoyed. It does not appear you have any trees or shrubs that would mute such a bright color. . Secondly painting it that color is going to make it look smaller and just stand out - unless that is what you want it to do?

First, why would painting it burnt orange be different than painting it any other color? Second, why burnt orange? Guess I didn't understand your question. Did you want trim ideas, etc.?

Maybe the body of the house a soft Khaki color with cream trim and the get a new front door with your pop of Burnt Orange color...freshen up the mailbox area and pretty colorful pots on the porch with orange, yellow, red colored flowers....maybe with bright blue pots.....

Yeah, if I were your neighbor I probably wouldn't have a problem with burnt orange as a door or accent color, but the whole house would be a problem ... that is a strong color and you might get tired of really fast. Its a lot of work and expense to paint a house. I would go with something more neutral for the body of the house and use it as an accent color.

Yup, I agree. A whole house painted burnt orange might be OK for Halloween and Thanksgiving but not so great the rest of the year. When we purchased our house it was mustard gold with gold brick. Hated it! It's now an amazing green with white trim. Since we painted it a lot of people have copied the color in our neighborhood.

Keep in mind that if you chose to sell in the future, the bright orange would probably be a turnoff for purchasers. The real estate agent will recommend repainting it a more neutral color and it will take a lot of paint to cover the orange. Use it as an accent color rather than the main color.
