Where in LA? Or do you know? Coming from NY at least you will not have sticker shock. Furnished is not common but is available, do you want a house or apartment?

  Ok, Westchester is on the "West Side" and there are good and not so good neighborhoods, so please do not hesitate to ask. You need a safe neighborhood for you and your dog. An hours drive is a relative term in LA. Traffic is bad all the time and in most places you measure distance by miles - in LA you tell distance by time. Even though something may be relatively close, it can take a long time to get there. On hour can mean 7 miles . . . For instance, I am in Castaic, my employer is on Wilshire Boulevard on the border of Santa Monica. 42 miles one way. On Sunday morning at 6 a.m., it is a 35 minute drive. Monday through Friday, in order to get to work by 8 am, I have to leave my house no later than 5:45 a.m. and that is cutting it close. If it rains, double that. People do not know how to drive with 3 drops of water falling from the sky, it turns into "Storm Watch 201_" - no joking. If you want I can provide you with the name and number of my realtor - if she can't help you, she will refer you to someone that can.
