Sometimes plain old cloth pillow covers for the living room are just boring. I wanted something with texture, but the only ones I could find were over a hundred dollars. Here's how I solved that.
One ball of bulky thin thick yarn, an L crochet needle. The orange photo is just a series of double crochets. After you make the front portion, hand sew it on to a pillow cover of similar color. Get a great button and put it in the center. I made this orange pillow cover in a few hours.
This gray one is alternating 3 front post double crochets, 3 back post double crochets. Super easy, and looks great. The pillows really pop in the room, and you can always say....I made it, when people compliment you on the pillows.
Suggested materials:
  • 1 ball of bulky yarn. 1 L sized hook.   (Joann's fabric)
