Any rules or tips we can get turning our front yard into a succulent garden with palm trees and cactuses is there any hard fast rules we should follow? We'd like to add a water fountain and lots oflants!

Grand idea! What zone are you in? Just be sure to choose what will grow well in your area. Where I live, most can't take the incessant summer sun, so I have on the north side of my house shaded by a fig tree. Be sure to use the right planting mix so that they will thrive.
