Will mineral paint on leather last?

I have an old leather swivel chair which is in pretty good shape and I want to paint it with Fusion paint, a mineral based paint. I learned how to paint leather and from watching the techniques on you tube, it looks like it does a wonderful job. Will it hold up though, from sitting on it?
