I have a manufactured home with an add on, and the window opening from the dining room into the add on was left as it was originally. I call it the window to nowhere as it is not on an outside wall. I think I really need the opening for the light it allows in, but it looks so funny. Any ideas?

You might consider removing the window and finishing off the opening. Then, if there is adequate light, fill the ledge with low light plants such as snake plants, various philodendron, and peace lilies. I think you will be pleased. The opening will also give the illusion of more of an open-air concept. I hope this helps.
Put in some glass shelves and use it as curio. You will still be getting light and yet have an interesting feature
Place some glass shelves in it. Then you can put some plants on it etc. It will then have a purpose.
We have a couple windows like that where enclosed porches were added on our 100+ year old home. The one in the kitchen lets me see out into the back yard since it lines up with an exterior window. The front one is like yours - needed for light, but, basically a non-functioning window. I've spent years debating what to do with it, and I think I am going to put a glass french door there. It sounds counter-intuitive, I know, and I believe I am going to put a matching one where the current solid door is into that room (which is now the playroom for my granddaughter). I'm waiting until she's a little older, so the doors won't be a problem. Once it quits being her toy and play room, in a few years, it'll go back to being my sunny sitting room. Then the glass doors will be great. Right now her spot to sit or rest is the day bed under that window.
