You mean old ceramic butter churn type crocks right? I see suggestions for corks...
If they are antiques , for heaven sakes don't paint them! LOL you can however put a potted plant on the inside of it by the windows look cool. Or you can put some type of dried flower arrangement that looks cool

crocks as in shoes?
If the crocks are not too heavy, they look great on top of kitchen cabinets.
