donate to thrift store......Salvation Army, good will.
Donate it, give away, I am on Nextdoor.com and get rid of lots of odd bits this way.
Check with your kids first to see if they could use a good set. I have done that and my daughter, if she doesn't need them, finds a friend that does. If you know any kids that are just going out on their own, they appreciate anything they can get if it means not spending what little money they have. When I graduated from nursing school, my parents game me old sets of silverware, knives and small appliances that had been replaced but still worked that she saved just for this reason and had saved my dads uncles pots and pans for me and also got me a nice set of stoneware in a brand and model that would be around for a while so that it could be added to. I still have most of them to this day and they are almost forty years old.
Donate the set to a thrift store.
Sell it if you do a flea market, give it to a soup kitchen, offer it to a friend who's daughter or son is getting an apartment, or for a dorm room.
Someone can sharpen them and you could still use them. If YOU literally just don't want them, cause you got new......Donate them, clean up and sharpen. Churches and Red Cross??
Thanks everybody for replying, donation is a good idea.
We wrapped them in newspaper and donated them to the Purple Heart.
