How do you make shower doors easier to slide
To shower doors did slats on a track one is easy gliding in the other one is hard how do you make him both easier to slide
Clean the track tI’ll its sparkling. Wipe with a little WD-40.
Try rubbing the track with bar soap. Sometimes the roller just needs replacing
First of all make sure the doors are on the track properly. Then what I did what most certainly work took the doors off completely cleaned the runners underneath the door clean the tracks completely put the doors back on and they slid back and forth like on glass.
Remove any accumulated dirt and debris. A vacuum cleaner is a big help here.
Use bar soap where the doors slide, if that does not solve your hard to open glass doors, then check the rollers and make sure it is on the tracks.
Again, keeping it clean and the soap works. I don't recommend using WD 40 as it attracts dirt and you would be cleaning more often. Silicone sprays (like those used for locks) is your better bet if it needs lubricating.
Spray the frame with W D -40
Make sure the track is very clean and then spray it with wd40
Vacuum well in the slider area, clean any dirt with an old tooth brush and soapy water. Wait until dry and run an old candle to leave as a lubricant. Just repeat this procedure if it starts dragging again. I use this on my window sliders.
Pamela's advice should certainly solve your problem. Be sure to clean the track adjacent to the stationary portion of the slider.
