As our stair carpet was starting to look a little tired, we thought it was time to try something completely differant.
We didnt want to go for another carpet, we wondered what it would be like painted?
So the first step (firts step ha ha get it?) Was to remove all the old carpet and underlay. Not a easy task.
Then ir was time to remove the ply board that was underneath, which ment all the tacks and nails and carpet griper then had to go, at this stage I got my self a pair of knee pads.
The floor was now visable.
What had I let myself in for.
Once the stairs had been sanded down with 120 sandpaper it was time for the first of 3 coats of paint.
I did the passageway first
Then the stairs, I did it all with one tin 2.5 Litres of paint, and it turned out smashing.

I was very pleased with the end result.
What do you guys think?

Question for you guys, do you think I should put a carpet runner down the middle?

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.
