What adhesive will work here?

I was to permanently adhere PET plastic to a cheap vinyl covered cabinet door (chip board covered by vinyl) for an art project. What adhesive would be permanent and not affected by steam?

You could use a paneling adhesive or stronger --most notable name I imagine would be Liquid Nails.

Don’t use liquid nail if there’s going to be much heat or steam? To remove liquid nail from a surface they use a heat gun to soften it up and it comes right off! I know this from a house I bought that someone thought it be a good idea to use liquid nail to attach a burlap like material to the bathroom walls that just looked horrible to say the least! I had to call the Liquid Nail company to find out how to remove their glue? Heat it up and comes off like soft butter! So I’d not trust it over a heat source at all! Same thing with super glue By the way, it gets much above 90 degrees and super glue fails and whatever you used it to glue in place won’t be in place any more! LOL so whatever glue you use, double check it still works in a hot/steamy area if that’s the climate it’s going to be in! Good luck

  • gorilla glue is wonderful and comes in clear.
