Narrow hallway decor ideas?

We have a narrow hallway with a 60" wall outside our powder room between the entry and the laundry room. Because there is no room, we can't put a console, or shelving etc. What can we do to decorate this space. There is no ceiling light.

Mirror tiles artistically arranged would be cute and make the area appear larger.

I would hang a window, put some curtains up, this too would make the area look larger

Find an old multi-pane window. Paint the frame an interesting color. In lieu of glass, companies like Grainger carry thin sheet metal rolls. Cut and use the sheet metal in lieu of glass. You can then get mini magnets to hang photos, whatever, in the squares.

We have a narrow hallway as well - we hung mirrors to make the space look so much bigger. It made such a huge difference.

Can you add a floor lamp? Or perhaps have an electrician add some lights in your ceiling

wow you guys are great with the suggestions! Thank you! To answer Janets question, hubby retires in 2 weeks and first project is getting a light in that hall. All of us seem to be on the same wavelength in terms of getting light, sparkle and reflection to make look larger. I just found a long picture collage that has a 3" mirror frame. Against the frame are small sparkly beads and it holds 12 4"x 6" photos. It's very pretty, and I get a little bit of mirror for reflection, a little bit of sparkle and it will be something to stop and have a look at favorite family pics. Isn't that what everyone wants to do when they step out of powder room? lol Thanks again

If you have a high wall socket, try a sconce lamp. If the end of the hall ends in a wall where other rooms enter from the sides, Hang a big long mirror to help reflect light as well.

I, too, have a narrow hallway. I did a post on Hometalk about this. It might give you some ideas.
