St. Patrick's Day is one of those holidays that for me means fun, whimsical, and festive decor is called for. Making this Whimsical St. Patrick’s Day Wreath was both easy and budget friendly. Using items from the Dollar Tree kept the cost low.
I’ve made wreaths before using scarves and boas.  A couple of years ago I made a simple Coastal Scarft Wreath that truly only took about ten minutes to make. I also made a Peacock Wreath using feather boas. For this St. Patrick's Day Wreath, I'm combining the two.

I wrapped the end of one boa around the inner ring of the 14" wreath form. It’s tucked around the metal to keep it in place.
I continued to place the boa around the inner ring until it met at the ends. I twisted the end around and tucked it in place.
I used a total of four boas to make the wreath full.  Once they were wrapped around the form, I used some pipe cleaners to hold them in place along the way.
I tried several different ways to use the scarf. Simply tying it around the wreath into a big bow was my favorite position for it.
My local Dollar Tree had packages of these fun hats. Using the strings that are attached to the hats, I tied them around the top of the wreath. I used a piece from a door hanger that I also bought at the Dollar Tree for the center of the wreath,
A third hat was hot glued between the other two hats.

I found some fun cupcake picks that I used for some contrasting color. I twisted a piece of pipe cleaner around the stems to make them more sturdy and then hot glued them onto the boas. Gold coins from the Dollar Tree were glued to pipe cleaners and then hot glued to the boas
I don’t think the boas would hold up well if the wreath is exposed to rain, but it should be fine otherwise. I’m enjoying decorating more for St. Patrick’s Day this year than I usually do. I think it’s been such a dreary winter that I’m ready for some fun, colorful decor.
