How can I improve dirty looking linoleum floor?

Well, many years ago when we rented a tiny efficiency apartment, I put a large bathmat on the floor. It just about covered the whole think and the edges weren't that noticeble! I have noticed some pretty large bath mats recently - like 48" by 36" - I think that's about what I used. Most anything you actually do the floor itself will be somewhat permanent.

YOu can go to a dollar store, like Family Dollar or Dollar General, and get a roll of linoleum. You can roll it out and then remove it when you move.

Not permanent is tricky on floors... maybe look at contact paper or peel n stick wallpaper? Just get something with texture so it doesn't get slippery, especially in a bathroom.

Check with the landlord, tell him about the floor, see if you supply the labor and he supplies everything else needed, if you can change the flooring. Some landlords are decent that way, especially if it is done in a way that everyone will like the changes when they rent after you move out.

You can get linoleum, silicone, a wax ring for your toilet, and 1/4 round molding at your home Improvement store.

Pull the toilet, cut the Lino to fit your floor. Put painted 1/4 round on edges at baseboard and vanity to hold down the linoleum (you can fill nail holes and paint when you move out).

Set the toilet with new wax ring. Silicone edge at tub. Tuck linoleum under threshold at the door.

You can use large bath rugs but if it we're me I would ask landlord if I could paint the linoleum. I would use a pretty color chalk paint then top with 2 coats of lacquer. Pretty throw rugs to match your decor. Of course if this is your only bathroom it is not an option because it will take several days to dry.😵

Use removable contact paper

Buget 101...1.5 gal. Water, 2 tablespoons blue dawn, 15 drops orange essential oil, 8-10 drops lemon essential oil.....or 1/4 cup lemon juice. Dump them in the mop bucket.actally, I used a scrub brush....first time in 4 years that I saw a shine on the floor. Taking the allergy med was so worth it...I’m alergic to citrus....
