What state or zone?
Welcome! Depending where you are in the south, crape myrtles, dogwoods, redbuds are all bloomers. For slower growing live oaks are wonderful. Except for flowers that can't take the heat (tulips, pansies) the list is pretty broad. Go to a local nursery not a big box store and look for native plants. Good luck.
Willows are good for wet areas and apples are good everywhere. Depending on your state I would check out neighboring trees.
Hydrangeas, Peonies, Roses, Honeysuckle, Gardenias and Bluebells to name just a few. Trees would be; Magnolia, Oak, Pecan, and Maple are just a few suggestions. Happy growing!
south could be a lot of places...for the correct advice actual zone or location and lighting is required to answer the question
You can grow just about any tree you like in the South! We lived in TN for a number of years and planted a peach tree, and several apple trees, and a plum tree. WE also planted raspberries and ever greens. They all did well with water. Seek out your local nurseries and ask them for suggestions.
I love roses all kinds
Magnolias, camelias, dogwood, redbud, Carolina silverbell.
Thank you so much. I've been living in South Carolina for about 6 months and I'm a real estate agent and I know no one around here to ask it's really nice of you to respond. Are you still living in Tennessee?
