How to remove ring around toilet?

I made to mistake of using Polident in the toilet bowl and it left a permanent ring. I've tried everything to remove it - even a pumice scouring stick to no avail. Any suggestions?

Try vinegar, lemon juice and baking soda

What worked for me was--remove the water in toilet bowl, take old socks and lay on top of the ring (two men's calf socks should be enough), saturate the socks with undiluted vinegar and let sit overnight. Once may not be enough but eventually this should work.

I just read an interesting article about this. A woman used drywall sandpaper 220 Grit and it took her 30 seconds to get rid of a stain that she had tried everything also. It didn't scratch her toilet. Sounds awesome. I hope this helps!

MR. CLEAN MAGIC SPONGE will remove ANYTHING I haven't found anything yet it doesn't work on. Just keep it for your commode only so you can use it again later maybe kept in a zip lock bag.

Have you tried using 2 cups of white vinegar? Let it set all night or all day if you are at work. This has resolved any stains I have ever encountered. Hope this helps.

I have always had a hard water ring problem and have tried all of the above. Success came with vinegar, Mr. Clean Magic Sponge and WD40. WD40 was the best. I emptied the toilet soaked paper towels and padded inside and kept it wet for several days with WD40. It runs down into the bottom so you just reuse. Scrubbed well. Still had slight ring which is now almost completely gone. Why? Because after I clean each week I spray the inside from top to below water line with lots of WD40 and nothing sticks so no RING around the toilet!!! I use the WD40 with the wide spray nozzle. Now have beautiful shiny white toilets. Love it!!! Not sure which diy site I learned about WD40 from but whoever you are thank you so very much!
