Sea Glass bottles faded.

I used the Sea Glass instruction on clear wine bottles. After hanging onside on my bottle tree they have faded. Is it a weather fade or did I do something wrong. Started to fade after two months.

Do you use a UV clear spray?

Probably weather fade. Can you redo them or just make new?

Likely it is fading from the weather....can you redo it and enjoy the process and hang them again?

The paint wasn't UV resistant to the sun's rays.

I can find no information on sea glass paint fading. I would say you did nothing wrong. Giving something the "sea glass look" you have to use paint, and ALL paints fade in time. That's the reason museums go to such great care to keep precious paintings out of natural light. Try painting over the faded ones and see if it gives you another year or so before it fades again.

I don’t think the sea glass paint is an outdoor paint. I would think that you’ll have to keep redoing them as the sun appears to be fading them

Thanks for the reply. I can do new ones no problem. I will cook the next ones longer. I failed to mention that the lower part of glass has a darker line like paint ran.
