What are some native ground cover, flowers NE of DC?

I just moved to town 8 miles out of DC.half of my lot has 3 old oaks, a large holy tree and some shade flowers. The front, no shade. Need shade ground cover and flowering bushes . Thank you.

Blue juniper is just beautiful! I love the way it spreads along the ground. Azaleas are always a favorite up and down the east coast. Here's other ground covers your may like:
