I need some gifts for men that I can make simply. Now I am talking about men such as bikers, electricians, putterers. I can make just about anything for a woman but men are so much harder especially the men in our circle. They love to ride & I try to think of something simple and cheap to give as a gift. Please HELP me.

Here is one project that I made that might be helpful - it is really easy to make and you can even have the hardware store pre-cut the wood for you - https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/easy-bottle-opener-29581275

motor cycles or bicycles -- if a pedal bike, maybe something personalized to hold their water bottles; if they have a basket - maybe an insert to hold small items that would otherwise pass thru the mesh; if they are tradesmen and wear a tool belt/apron -- you can get plain muslim ones that have pockets, etc -- you could personalize them in a 'cartoon' manner -- if they cook out -- something to accent the grill -- a can or flowerpot to hold utensils, or a bucket to hold charcoal or wood chips that is personalized ...

AS a mother of five grown sons of whose careers are such that you mentioned above. So I have had some experience in this matter. Men first and foremost always want things like everything made to help them "simplify " their lives in any way possible. I have made my son's things that range from where to hang keys when coming in. Sewing in an extra pocket within a pocket is a favorite. I have made a tool caddy, car pockets for the stuff they use in a vehicle. Calendars are always hit especially when you make a collage that is old photos of them from when ever or where ever. Make cans, jars or boxes for their pocket change. Travel tolietties bags are always big hit can make from shoe holders over doors. If you can sew anything thathelps protect the stuff important to them always big hit. Anway thats all I have off top of head hope something Igave Helps you.

How about some little travel kits to fit in their panniers? with wet wipes, mini toothpaste, brush, mini bar of soap, comb, eye drops, sunscreen etc. They make them here in little cloth sacks with a drawstring closure to give away at our center. or maybe a day snack packet with jerkey, crackers, cheese, nuts, etc. Most guys I know that ride wear those bandanas and they sell them at the Dollar Tree in several colors.

Chocolate chip cookies. Men are very specific about their gifts. My husband has a lot of talents and a lot of interests. I buy him the saw blade or tool or sweater etc. he picks out! I did surprise him recently with a set of Turkish coffee cups etc. But that is because he had expressed a strong desire in trying that.

For Suzette, I had to laugh when I read your response because my husband is the one who does all those things. . . He made us all canvas bags with special knotted closings (there is a name can't remember it) when he saw I didn't have a place for the scissors in the kitchen he came upstairs with a little newly crafted box to fasten on the wall etc. etc. I guess men are as different as women are.

Thank you for all your suggestions. BTW - When I said bikers, I meant motorcycles. Sorry I wasn't very clear. I can't wait to peruse all your ideas.

Do rags (not sure of spelling) are very easy to make. Patterns can be found on line and basic sewing skills are all you need. I have made and given these many times. Joann fabrics or any fabric store carries all different kinds of prints so there is something fir everyone. They are inexpensive enough you can make and give any number you like.
