DIY Bathroom Display Organizer and Riser

Turn an old rickety plant stand into an organizer and riser for your bathroom. This bathroom organizer is easy to update. The little drawer is perfect for tweezers, scissors etc. and the extra height is very handy for using a mirror stand.

If your favorite style is DIY Farmhouse decor in white or black, here is the link to all my DIY Home Decor Projects.

The riser started as a rickety plant stand. The legs were wobbly and it really was not strong enough to hold the weight of a plant on its long wobbly legs.

The first step was to dismantle the plant stand.

I then measured the first leg to five inches and then cut the remaining legs evenly to match. I then sanded all the pieces before reassembling and gluing the riser back together.

Paint with chalkboard or latex. I used matte latex.

Apply a primer and then two layers of white paint. Let dry between coats. Sand between each layer.

Add a graphic, the link to this one is on the blog. It was transferred using carbon paper and then painted with a small paintbrush.

Once you have the graphic painted on, apply a coat of polyurethane.

I would love if you dropped by my blog Faeries and Fauna and checked out all the various DIY farmhouse projects, upcycles, crafts and recipes I create.
