Today I wanted to make some spring style Tissue Mason Jars . I don’t know about you but in my house it is the season for sneezing! so what better to remedy this ! Then with fun spring time color jars , with customized words on them ! The best part about these is there so many different ways to decorate and express your personal taste to these from the color to embellishments .
The first things you will need to do is stop your local craft and grocery store and pick up these items .
mason jars 32oz
round kleen tissue
emblishments of your choice
burlap
foam paper
hot glue gun
glue sticks
baking soda
stir sticks
paint of your choice
chalk sealer
vinyl
So I decided that I wanted to make my own chalk paint for these jars . If you would like to do the same it’s quick n easy . Just make sure to use it within 48 hrs of making it . For every cup of latex paint Use 3 tablespoons cool water and 1/2 cup baking soda and stir well .
so now after making your paint let’s get to painting . Give it two even coats and let dry at least an hour . then add your vinyl . Spray sealer in a ventilated area .Let dry for twenty minutes. Then add extra embellishments .
i used foam paper and burlap and glued them together and cut a cross in the middle for the tissue to come out . Followed by me gluing that to the top of the inner ring of the mason jar Lid . I then added the tissue paper. Pulled it threw , twisted the lid . And there you have it ! Your very own tissue mason jar !
