How to clean water spots from marble floors?

I have a small kitchen that needed new flooring a year ago, so I chose marble tiles as the replacements, not knowing that marble isn't practical for kitchens. I now have water dull spots on a (mostly) white/gray floor that I can't get out with soap and water. The marble has a shiny veneer. Anyone know of the right product to remove the spots? It's hard to photograph, but you can make out 4 spots around where the light is reflecting in the floor. This is what most of the floor looks like now.
Hi there, basically, something acidic has caused the shine on the surface of the marble to dull. It would appear that the floor is a polished marble floor and anything acidic, such as vinegar, lemon juice, wine etc could dull the surface. Do you have "FILA"products in your area? Contact them they may be able to assist you, the only other solution is to get them to buff the tile, however, they will not get that tile to match 100% with the others, or you could have the whole floor repolished. It could happen again in the future if you are not carefull with spilling acidic type substances. The only other solution is to remove the polished surface on the entire floor and have a matt look finish and then communicate with the the marble installers or "FILA"for a deep penetrating sealant which will have to be applied periodically. This will offer some protection, however, it is difficult to completely protect marble floors, from etching and staining.

Try paste of water n baking soda (or toothpaste with baking soda). Rub on and leave for few hours. Wipe clean n mop.

Marble is far more porous and softer than granite, what works for granite could destroy marble. Once anything gets into marble I don’t know of anything that will 'get it out'. The only thing I know to do is to have it professionally refinished, and a sealant applied to prevent it happening again. Vinegar is acidic, and baking soda is a base, both will etch marble.
Marble is beautiful but delicate and needs protection.
I would check with the local flooring store to see if they have a product for this problem.
