There are special paints for concrete and stone. Make sure you get one that IS NOT slippery when wet from rain. Someone sold my son a gal. of paint for concrete; he applied it to my walkway; it rained, and I nearly fell on my rear when walking on it because the salesman sold him the wrong paint. My son had no idea (he was only 15 or 16 yrs. old) what type of paint to buy. He only wanted to make the front of the house look good as a surprise for me. I surely was surprised when I nearly fell.

When I went back to the store, the salesman got an earful from me about selling a 16 yr. old such a product and not asking my son questions about where paint was going to be applied. Just be careful in your purchase.

If it is in an area that would get wet, you can ask them to add glass beads to the paint when mixing for slip resistance.

A primer and paint specifically for concrete should do the job.
