Removing mold on various items

My sister stored a lot of things for a year in a place without climate control. She has mold on almost everything. Some of the things I know that have mold is leather sofa and also wood. Her clothes are in there too. Any suggestions for removing mold from any kind of surface please let me know. We have a lot to remove if possible.

One way to get rid of mold is to wash it down with vinegar, baking soda and water.

Give us a list of exactly what has mold. Vinegar, in most cases will work, but it does depend on the surface or material.

  I don't think even she knows all of the surfaces that have mold. She is tackling them one at a time. I have no idea how the mold would ever come off of clothes. I think that will have to be a lot of guess work or a lot of loss. Thanks for the vinegar info

  Ok then use vinegar, and I would even purchase "cleaning" vinegar. Vinegar kills mold spores, bleach does not. You can washcloths that have mold on them too. You guessed it, more vinegar! And baking soda. Toss moldy clothes in washer with a low suds detergent. Add a couple cups of vinegar and at least 3 or 4 heaping tablespoons of baking soda. Put vinegar in the softener cup to. Wash as normal.
