Thrift Store Find Turned Coastal Chalk Art

Another example of ....don't pass up those old throwaways at the thrift store! This tray certainly wouldn't have turned a head the way it looked before. BUT add some paint and graphics (so simple, too) and you have a fun eye catching piece of chalk art! paint
Turn an old thrifty throw away into something fabulous with a little paint! (and sparkles! ;) )
Before....tarnished old and not so great.
Print and trace!
Getting better. Easy graphic's transfer....and even easier "coloring in the lines" to complete. These Chalk Ink pens make it so easy, anyone can do this!

Although I admire the skill in doing the script, I would have just polished it and applied a clear coat.. Like the character and warmth of the original. Could have put a removable pic/pattern in centre if you didn't like plain, or a mirror.

@Marion Nesbitt That was certainly an option, yes! :) But it was old, scratched and beat up.....and tossed aside at the thrift store. I bought it, painted it, and now have it in my home on display...being fully enjoyed by myself, my family and those who enter my home.
