Toddler Room Makeover

I’ve shared bits and pieces of Ryan’s room makeover the last few weeks and we’re finally ready to show her toddler room reveal. The toddler bed transition has been a piece of cake. Ryan slept like a baby the first night and never got out of her bed. After night one it’s been smooth sailing. She’s 21 months and seems to be loving her new room and her new bed. I can’t wait to show you the awesome new bed we got just for her new toddler room!
We picked up this extendable bed from Ikea. It grows to three sizes and was the perfect fit for her and her room. I placed it under this canopy my grandmother bought for me as a girl and replaced it with some fresh white curtains with a fun blue trim.
For her bedding, I picked up a simple pink comforter set from Target. I also painted the shiplap walls behind her bed for a brighter feel in here. They were a stained dark color before and just didn't fit for a little girls room.
The white lockers stayed because they add so much needed storage. I picked up some watercolor prints from Hobby Lobby and created a mini gallery wall for this small wall here.
Above her dresser was a small cutout where eventually we'll have to place an attic access. For now I used this small black bookshelf to cover it up and display Ryan's favorite books. We swapped the knobs out on the dresser to give it a girlier feel. Eventually I'll paint that too.
I also created this 3D book wall around this framed print in her room. I used vintage kids books for some cute narrations and just hung it all up using a staple gun. You can see my tutorial for that here.
