What is a natural means of getting rid of many wild onions in my lawn?

I use a solution of water, dash of dish soap, and vinegar. Bleach works quickly in the sun too. Dab or spray on the onions after you step on them. Stepping on them first allows the spray to be drawn into the plant.
If you do not want to use chemicals then Dig them out.
