Learn how to turn foam bunny shapes and a few pom-poms into the perfect Bunny Banner, just in time for Easter!

Last week I hosted my first Facebook Live tutorial - and in addition to sharing a glass of wine with everybody, we created this fun (and easy), Bunny Banner, using a few supplies from Michaels and a Xyron Creative Station!

I thought some of you might be interested in this project, so I included a supply list and a full written tutorial below. However, if you would rather see the Facebook Live video tutorial, please stop by my blog!

Here are the supplies you will need:

  • one package of foam bunny shapes from Michaels
  • one multipack of 1.5" pom poms from Michaels (make sure it includes at least four each of the yellow, pink and white pom poms)
  • Xyron Creative Station with 9" Permanent Refill
  • two yards of ribbon
  • liquid adhesive

Step 1: Divide your package of foam bunnies into two equal piles - making sure there is the same number of each color of bunnies in each pile.

Step 2: Run one pile through the Xyron Creative Station and set them aside.

Step 3: On your work area, grab another pile of bunnies and lay them out about 2" apart, in the order yellow, pink, white, yellow, pink, white, etc.

Step 4: Cut a piece of ribbon and lay it on top of the bunnies across there ears. While doing this step, make sure you leave a 6-8" "tail" of ribbon on both ends of the banner.

Step 5: Peel the Xyron adhered bunnies off one at a time and match them to the same color bunny, then press to adhere. Repeat until the banner is finished.

Step 6: Use liquid adhesive to adhere a pom-pom to each bunny and allow to dry.

And voila! With just a pack of foam bunnies and some pom-poms, you can create this fun little banner just in time for Easter!

As I mentioned before, I created this project for my first Facebook Live tutorial. So, if you want to see the full video tutorial for this project, please stop by my blog.

Also, just as a side note, you can take the same techniques that I used in this tutorial and create banners for any holiday theme! For example, if you see pumpkin foam shapes during the Fall season, you can easily use this same tutorial to create a Fall/Halloween style banner.
