Boudoir Vanity Part # 3!

So I‘m finally done revamping my Xmas present from my hubby... a beautiful antique vanity for my boudoir!! I would have been done sooner but, honestly i wasn’t in love with what I had done so I continued tweaking until I was in love...here she is in her original sad state...

Dirty but great bones and really sexy lines to her...

i began with some heavy duty cleaning with a mixture of baking soda and vinegar...

After cleaning thoroughly i could see the surface was in really good shape and only needed moderate sanding in some areas..

Next was painting... I used Heritage collections Cobblestone and Deco Art Metallic paint in Glorious gold. Once dry I waxed it with AS clear wax...

I did purchase several resin trim pieces to accentuate some areas... after painting them I simply glued them in place using DAP Rapid Fuse.

But, I still wasn’t in love.. till I softened it up a bit...

i did give her a nice thick coat of matte clear acrylic/ poly blend for protection...and now I’m in...

    In the one picture where you thought you were finished the top surface is blue. In the final picture it looks cream. Am I seeing correctly. Did you change the color of the top or is it the lightening? The finished product is awesome!

    How did u get the gold paint into the small crevice on the drawers; I really like how it looks.
