Try a gentle warming with a blow dryer, not too hot, see if that will loosen it up to be able to use some kind of plastic scraper. Have you tried putting oil on a rag?

Maybe after the warming, try vinegar water with an old T shirt rag. 1/3-1/2 ratio

Try fingernail polish remover! It may work? It use to work very well till they were forced to change their formula and it’s not always as effective as it use to be unfortunately!

Try 90% rubbing alcohol, WD40, or fingernail polish remover. Test FIRST on tiny area with Q-tip to see if works BEFORE applying on larger area & possibly complicating matters further since you're not totally sure exactly what you're dealing with.

Storing it in a Ziploc bag started the plastic to decompose. Try the rubbing alcohol, WD40, and nail polish remover as everyone suggests.

In Canada we have a product called Goo Be Gone. It smells very mild, doesn’t aggravate your hands and it really does a great job. I first tried it to remove price stickers from bar stools and it didn’t harm the wood.

Try spraying cooking oil on it, and wipe off with a hot sponge or wet wipe.
