I think everyone has those leftover glass votives after your candle has all burnt down, right?! I always have them lying around so I thought I'd reuse them and make them pretty!

Painted Votives using Sharpie Paint Pens: This is a really quick and easy craft project. I just used an oil based, gold Sharpie Paint pen on the glass candle holder. I free handed it so that it would look handmade, plus I'm kinda lazy.

These are easy and you can add a votive to them and burn them like normal. Or you could use them as a jewelry holder, etc. I like to have little dishes sitting around to lay my earrings in. Of course, pocket change winds up in them also!

These pens are so simple to use, they're cheap and you can use them in so many applications. I have seen people use them on their walls! I'm so going to be trying that out soon. I have the perfect spot!

Did you bake them at low temp to ensure they stay on? I found that one time in the dishwasher will remove or almost remove all of your work! I did it on mugs as well. BTW - Made my glasses into rock (drink) glasses with the newlyweds initials on them. That is the reason for my question. Did you bake at low temp to seal your work?

  @Gale O'Neal For mugs, plates, etc. I bake at 350 for half an hour then let cool in the oven. For these candle holders I didn't bake simply because they won't need to be washed. Your project sounds beautiful, congrats to the couple!

  Do you put the glass in the oven while it cold then turn the oven on to heat up

I have never done any type of crafts because I don't have much patience with most crafts. I turn 72 yrs on Tues and will give this a try. I am always misplacing rings and this will be exactly what I need! Thanks for the idea.
