Here's how I made this cute stool out of a plant stand.

Fortunaly I could find 2 plant stands- nice and heavy duty to be used for extra seating.
I sprayed the stand with krylon metalic paint- I like this paint because it goes on smooth and dries quickly

I used foam board as a base. I purchased it at the dolloar store.
And this charger I used as a template- I lay it on the foam baord and cut it out and also the foam.
the black felt is optional but looks nice to go underneath.
And I had a piece from a regular throw that I cut in quarters to use to cover the stool.
Glue this on to the bottom.

This is the base

Lay the base on the throw blanket material. Make little markings around in a circle to cut out to make sure you have enough to cover the base but you don't need too much extra. Its probably about 3 inches from the foam.

Adhering the material: using spray adhesive  (shake the bottle well first)

Now lay the base on top of the material- wait about a minute

Pull the extra material over, keep it tight.

Spray the felt with the spray adhesive. Then wait about a minute and place it on top.

Use E6000 and put it on the stool and also some hot glue.

Here is our stool!
Give it about 24 hours for the E6000 to dry
