Can a white painted bed be painted to look brass?

    Make sure to sand white paint and buy some of the great spray paints that come in metal finishes. Let us know how it turns out. Happy decorating !

    Just lightly sand and Use Rustoleum metallic spray paint. Several light coats will get you a smooth finish.

    Rustoleum makes a brass spray paint, I would suggest you put either a yellow or orange basecoat on it first, and then spray with the brass paint.

    Yes, you have to sand it some. It depends on the material it made of. As to how much you sand it. Once sanded, vacuum dust off,wipe down with tack cloth. Apply a primer with color in it . Let dry, come back with a spray paint, keep sprayer 8 to 12 inches from bed. To prevent runs.Spray lightly, allow to dry between coats. You can add a clear coat of polyurethane, to help protect it

    You can use spray paint that has metallic look - Rustoleum makes some.

    rustoleum has a grand array of gorgeous metallics ! I am not a real prepper. I just clean whatever off with soap and water and bring the item outside and SPRAY AWAY !!!
