    Hi Rita,

Click below to read how to remove a popcorn ceiling. We've done this in our home and I'll tell you, be prepared for a mess. LOL But it will get the project done. Wishing you the best.

They actually sell cans of popcorn paint for repairing at Home Depot-shoots up at ceiling if you don't want to rent a popcorn spray painter.

Either scrape the popcorn off or cover the ceiling with planks or beadboard.

Hi All thanks for the suggestion‘s. Actually sanded one of the patches. Could not believe the dust it created. That was way to much work. It’s only my husband and I and we are both in our late 70’s. Did not know about the popcorn paint. It’s easy enough to try. Much easier than scraping ceilings. Covering them up will be my last resort.. this is why I love this site.

Thank you all for your suggestions. At least we now have a direction. Did not know about the popcorn pant. Wow-big help. Rita

Again thank you all. Actually forgot that I asked this question before. Having so much work done I‘m trying to figure out what to do when. Hopefully by the end of May I will be able to smile.
