They make great paint cans and they have the indentations for handles and you can put the lid on when you are on break so the paint doesn't dry out
I use the large coffee containers to store bird seed and to hold clean raw egg shells for the veg. garden. Will try to use them for herbs should get extra time by bringing them indoors next fall.
We use a lot of them to organize screws and small hardware in the garage and shop. Be sure to label what's in each one or tape a sample to area by handle since they all look alike when the lids go on and they're stacked. You can also use them as planters (drill drain holes) and change out with the seasons in your window boxes or large patio planters.
Use the folgers to make birdhouses !
