Red Riding Hood Desk for My Little Red Riding Hood

$20
4-8 Hours
Medium
My daughters birthday was coming up and she wanted a red desk. After searching for what seemed like forever, I finally found one I thought I could paint into something she'd love. I loved adding the hand painted doodads and the vibrant knobs.
Think outside the box also when picking hardware too. This had no drawer pill on it and when I went looking one pull didn't stand out from the others but three did so I put them all on! A common thread, each knob had a brass center, helps make it more cohesive.
Thats' when the hand painting came into my head and it pulled it all together.
She loved it….best compliment ever.
I used MMSMP in Tricycle for the red base
I then added a tangerine, bright yellow, and sea glass blue for the detailed doo-dads

How do you slide a chair under it? Pretty but not too practical.

@Linda B she usually just sits on her stool or the couch, pulls up the desk and props her feet on the shelf. So far she hasn't mentioned that this has hindered her playing.

Beautiful work! Something she can keep and pass down.
