Hi Chindj1, I saw a post on Home Talk for a canopy bed. She used a hula hoop. Cut the hula hoop and run fabric around it. Put duck tape where you made the cut. Attach to ceiling using hooks. It was made for a little girls room. So cute.
You can also do a series of curtain rods, attached to the ceiling. One installed close to where the wall meets the ceiling, then another a few further in on the ceiling and maybe another. Then drape sheers or whatever fabric you want, allowing some of it to drape down between the rods to make a "canopy" effect. Here's a link I'm including to give you some ideas with the rods hung the opposite way in one picture. Hope this helps you and gives you an option you like.
