Start them inside or in a large greenhouse in damp soil in cartons like even egg cartons. Put a plastic cover over them for a week to ten days until the plants are at least an inch tall. Keep the soil moist but not soaked. When they are an inch tall remove the plastic and let them continue to grow in sunlight. When they are 2 inches or so tall, transplant them in larger containers in potting soil again, like the size of cups. You can buy the planters or use your own with paper cups. Roses love sunshine and no water on leaves or stems. When the are larger, feed them banana peels ground in a food blender. Later you can also add coffee grounds and egg shells. I would buy MIracle gro to water them at this point. Follow the instructions on the bag. I hope this helps.

Place the rose seeds about one-half inch deep in a very light mixture of 50% sterile potting soil and 50% vermiculite. You can use small pots or shallow trays to plant your seeds, whatever works for the space you have, as long as they have good drainage.
