Start them inside or in a large greenhouse in damp soil in cartons like even egg cartons. Put a plastic cover over them for a week to ten days until the plants are at least an inch tall. Keep the soil moist but not soaked. When they are an inch tall remove the plastic and let them continue to grow in sunlight. When they are 2 inches or so tall, transplant them in larger containers in potting soil again, like the size of cups. You can buy the planters or use your own with paper cups. Roses love sunshine and no water on leaves or stems. When the are larger, feed them banana peels ground in a food blender. Later you can also add coffee grounds and egg shells.
