Hi, if you have enough room on the inside of the screens (it looks like you do since the tension rods are very small and don't need must room to hold onto), I used tension curtain rods and bought thin shower curtains at the Dollar Store. Then, I put the rods through the top of the shower curtain and hung them up inside my screens. If you want, you can put another curtain rod on the bottom just to keep the plastic in place. It keeps most of the pollen out and is easy to take down, too, as you can wash the plastic easily in your washer after the pollen has calmed down. I have 30 feet of screen to cover and I've done this for three years. Works great and is very cheap to do!

Hi! I’m doing this now and just saw this. Do the plastic shower curtains hold up? Do u know what side rods you buy(how thick). And does the wind blow them around?

If you are concerned about the pollen coming through the screen you are going to have to have soemthing that seals to keep the pollen from coming in. You could cut sheets of plexiglass and use it like a storm window. However that would make the screen room rather warm. If you are just concerned about the pollen collecting on the screens--I vacumm the pollen off.

I am looking at this and since I don't have outdoor patio needs to be screened ,( am in a condo and they don't allow any changes to the structure) I just have my windows with no screens, could I do something like this with my sliding patio doors ? I need a screen over some windows and the patio door? Bea

Maybe plastic covered panels? I find that the easiest thing to do is to just rinse the stuff off the screens with a hose.

Here is a screening product that claims to keep pollen out: https://www.buypollentec.com/product/pollentec-rolls/

Sorry, Kathi, pollen is microscopic. You will not find any screening product to filter that. The best answer I can give is to wear a very good mask - one that filters for pollen, when you are on your patio.
