E6000 dripping glue - ways to prevent this?

I found this to be true also and decided it is probably good because it helps keep it from drying out if I just leave the lid off through a whole project. I guess I choose to needing the lid on with each application than off and have a good part of it dry up or clog the open end. If you find a better way let me know too, ha.

Cover your work surface. Turn the tube of E600 upright. Cap side facing up. Locate the point on the tube that was squeezed. Slowly try to ease that area out by gently pulling at the bottom of the tube. When it stops oozing, clean off the top of the glue tube with a paper towel. Run a small amount of Vaseline across the threads of the glue nozzle. Then replace the cap. E

The next time you use this, squeeze the glue back towards the bottom of the tube. Now push it towards the top slowly, and squeeze it lightly. I think you had air spaces between the glue in the tube.

Be crafty! Devise something like a Hangman game... You know, where the noose attaches above an open area. Make it some stand on your table. Take the cap to E6000 and glue/attach it to the arm such that there's space to twist the E6000 into when you're between uses.

Quarter turn or so while your work. That makes it easy to cap and avoid dry-outs. Full twist when you're done for the day.

thanks all, I realized I have to get those air bubbles out. rolling the end and pushing everything forward helps in the end.

I didn't read all of the instructions on the E6000 glue tube. So.....I can't get the cap off. Any suggestions?

I would try putting the tube in hot water and if it comes off use a couple of q-tips and acetone and wipe of excess glue from tube tip and the cap. Then take vaseline and put t on the screw part of cap on the inside and the screw part of the tube tip so it comes off better next time.
