Is there any way to make tulip bulbs bloom year after year?
I bought some tulip bulbs to force in a glass jar with using just water. They have died back and now I want to ask if I could feed them and maybe store them for next year. I haven't found anyone who has an encouraging word about returning tulip bulbs. I mean how do they do it in the Netherlands?

I answered a similar question earlier today. I am in zone 9 and have had decent success with them reblooming. After they die back, I repot them and toss in an out of the way corner. I water them through the hot summer months and then they bloom whenever they feel like it. One year I had them bloom in December. Admittedly, I do not baby them and I lose a lot to the squirrels so it is always a surprise when a tulip, daffodil or hyacinth pops up out of one of the pots in the pot farm. I do not even label them anymore. The ones we purchase here that are water or soil "forced" are not the same varieties as what they grow in Europe, unless specifically labeled and generally are far more expensive.
You have nothing to lose, so give it a try! Before you know it, you can have a bunch with little effort.
tulips only bloom once a year, plant the bulbs with the foliage ,let the foliage die back ,they should return next year and flower
Just plant the bulbs outside and they come back naturally every year. You do not have to dig them up and store them.
