Hi to you DIYers!
I am driving myself CRAZY!!!!
I want to paint my bedroom furniture gray and then use a white wax. I was going to use either ascp or fat paint, until I learned about the amazing fusion paint. I don't want the furniture too dark, night dark enough show the white wax finish. HELP.... I can't pick a gray.šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

Why don't you look at what other Hometalkers used and then choose from there!

Use fusion ash, but if thatā€™s too dark, mix their white (I used Champlain) to lighten it to the colour you want. you decide to do that, measure how much of each colour you put in so that you can replicate if you run out....I start with ounces...1ounce of dark to 1 ounce of light (50/50), if thatā€™s too light, add 1 ounce of dark(2-1 mix) still too light, add another ounce of dark (3-1)....take notes so you remember what youve done

Me too! I got a beautiful finish on two occasional chairs using the ash with a black glaze...so much so that I intend to redo the diningroom furniture in a similar finish.....did a washstand and dresser in algonquin and Champlain...I love that I dont need a sealant with the fusion paint
