I have had some luck with Whink Rust Stain remover that I purchased at Theisens Farm Store. Are these bath towels or kitchen towels? This is a liquid and has a lot of precautions with it: plus keep out of reach of children and wear rubber gloves and out of eyes. If I find another way I will let you know.Helpful Reply-

I just yesterday gave up on one of my nice washcloths and a towel I love. I’m saving the towel to use when I dye my hair and the cloth for staining furniture. 😢☺️Helpful Reply -

Put an iron filter on your water line to prevent future ferric oxide staining. To remove rust stains, soak your towels in a cleaner containing oxalic acid.Helpful Reply -

Then I would try white vinegar and lemon juice and the sun. Soak in white vinegar rub with cut lemon and lay out in the sun. An old friend of mine always said to lay in the grass first thing in morning and leave till sun goes down if it is white cloth. Sun fades colors. Then launder as usual. If you cannot launder then you need to take to the cleaners. If it is carpet then you need to soak a cloth in white vinegar and sprinkle the area with salt lay cloth over top check in 30 min. rewet cloth and repeat till stain is gone. let dry and vac up the salt.Let me know how it works.Helpful Reply -
