To clean real brass pieces, cover all brass with ketchup. Let sit for 45 min. to an hour, then wipe clean! I read this online and figured I may as well give it a try. Wow! It transformed my pieces, beautifully!
I use Brasso comes in a can .find at Wal-Mart mart or groceries stores .works for me .

Brass cleaner for brass. Silver cleaner for silver. There would be no market for these cleaners if ketchup worked.
