Painting/Staining patio blocks

The previous owners put in a patio with red 12x12 concrete blocks. I hate the red. Can these be painted or stained with solid stain?

yes, though the masonry paint will wear unevenly based on foot traffic, and the concrete stain will leave you with limited options (a green stain may turn them brown, for example)

if you thin plain house paint down, you can get it to soak in to the blocks, and get a more weathered, natural look.

Over time your brick paver patio, walkway, driveway or path will become worn, faded or stained due to exposure to the elements. Rejuvenate these old pavers with a coat of acrylic concrete or paving paint.

Home Depot has a line of concrete paint in several colors and textures. Really nice paint for pavers, etc.
