Make sure the glue is holding, or repair the tape top. Cover the tabletop with gesso and smooth with a popsicle stick or ruler. Let it dry at least 24 hours. Then cover with chalk paint, smooth paint, Unicorn SPiT, mosaic tiles, copper pennies, photographs and postcards, or about any other surface treatment you can come up with. Sand, stain or paint the legs and base of the table. Seal everything with the proper sealer and let it dry 2-3 days before moving or using the table. It should last for years. ☺️

First, sand it well. Not perfectly smooth cause you want the paint to adhere. Then get a spray paint that sticks to plasctic. Make sure all is covered in tape that shouldn't be painted. Put on THIN coats, sand w xtra fine paper, wipe, respray.
