How do you kill a wisteria plant?

Need to get rid of it and don’t know how.

Well that is an interesting question how big is it often you can kill a a plant by putting a cover over it cut it as low as you can and then place a piece of old carpet or cardboard at the base of the plant
If there are other plants surrounding you will have to cut it as far back as possible and smother the roots out with heavy black plastic
Reba, I haven’t heard that particular method before. I think C is going to need to dig out the roots, but covering the plant stump makes sense in killing the roots. I love Hometalk! ☺️
I love these plants we bad one while I was growing up it was a tree about 8 ft tall love the smell sorry for you loss .
